C0de of Conduct

All Red River Valley Honors Camp (RRVHC) events and activities will include a minimum of two counselors or staff.

We do not conduct private one-on-one contact between counselors or staff and campers. In situations that require personal counseling, we always conduct the meeting in clear view of others with women counseling with girls and men counseling with boys.

Counselors and staff must respect the privacy of campers in situations such as changing clothes and taking showers, and intrude only to the extent that health and safety require. Counselors and staff must also protect their own privacy.

All counselors and staff staying with campers must complete and pass a Camper Protection Training.

Male and female leaders require separate sleeping facilities except that married couples may share the same quarters when facilities are available.

Counselors and staff agree to abide by the camp dress code. Remember, as counselors or staff of Red River Valley Honors Camp, you are a testimony to the campers and all those you come in contact with.

Discipline must be constructive and reflect the values of Red River Valley Honors Camp. Corporal punishment will not be used.

No hazing or initiations will be part of any event or activity.

All campers must remain in clear view of others and if going to approved semi-private areas, they must remain in groups of no less than four.

All aspects of the Red River Valley Honors Camp ministry are open to observation by parents and churches.
